Aftercare: Lip Blush

For the 10 days following the tattoo procedure, wash the site gently and apply Aquaphor® multiple times per day: 
 

WASH: GENTLY (for the love of it all, be gentle!)

Wash with antibacterial liquid soap such as Dial® (liquid or bar form... it doesn't matter. Just use Dial soap) and water using your fingers ONLY.
 

BLOT

Gently blot the area (do not rub or be rough) dry with a paper towel, not a regular towel.  There are so many germs in regular towels it's frightening!
 

MASSAGE

Gently apply and massage Aquaphor® in for 15 seconds.

• After the initial healing period (7-10 days)
  use Chapstick, lip-gloss or lip balm with sun block over the tattooed area to preserve color. The continued use of at least SPF 30 sunblock with UVA and UVB protection will help to prevent fading.

• Sleep slightly elevated for the first few nights to reduce swelling. You can take Ibuprofen or Tylenol and ice the area (20 minutes on, 20 minutes off) if needed.

• At the time of booking your initial appointment, you'll also schedule the mandatory perfecting appointment, which will be scheduled between 5-8 weeks after the initial procedure. The perfecting session ensures good color saturation and provides the opportunity to fine tune the final shape and color.
